Where did they go?

Where did they go? Hopes and dreams from my lost youth have been replaced by mid-life realities. Life has passed so swiftly, a fast-moving thunderstorm rumbling through time. A vast wasteland of bad timing, missed opportunities and less than stellar choices have led me astray from the life I wanted. But the life I have is more than I could have hoped, albeit quite different from the desires of my youth.
